When you think of the Black Hills, you usually do not think of music, but anyone that lives around here knows that the Black Hills is known to be the home of some very talented musicians. Music is an important part of the Black Hills culture, whether it is performances from local musicians and bands or from visiting musicians and bands.

The summer months are filled with music from one end of the Hills to the other. Locals especially love to grab their outdoor chair and head downtown or to a park or wherever to listen to a FREE concert.

Deadwood is home to a lot of music. They have their new downtown outdoor venue called Outlaw Square where they will be having lots of events including their FREE Concert Series most Wednesday evenings during the summer. Kool Deadwood nights is scheduled with FREE concerts on August 26-29, 2020 and the Deadwood Jam is scheduled for FREE Concerts September 18-19, 2020.

Belle Fourche is scheduled to have a Street Dance on State Street after the Black Hills Roundup on July 4th.

Another fun thing to do would be to go to one of the many Chuckwagon Cowboy Shows and Dinners throughout the Black Hills.

If you enjoy music, you will not be disappointed in all that the Black Hills has to offer.
