Fun + Unique Egg Decorating Ideas
10 Apr 2020
Spring is happening. Easter is coming. Annnnnnd the upcoming weather this weekend seems to be clueless about both!
Luckily, we’ve compiled some very cute ideas on how to stay busy. We want to help guide your egg decorating + give suggestions for lots of indoor fun (like a scavenger hunt with adorable, printable clues!). We know this won’t make the snow any better ... but hopefully we can help distract you from it.
EASTER EGG DECORATING: IDEAS FROM DESIGNERS AND ILLUSTRATORS
Using Watercolor paints and fine-lined sharpies can create the cutest egg + elimate all the splashing that tradional egg dyeing (usually) leads to.
An updated flair lended to a traditional process creates art! This is an especially good technique to use if you have brown eggs.
We aren't as artistically inclined as the creator of these eggs, but the process would be just as fun for us ... we mean, our children ...
This is one that we were so excited to share! Have you seen something like this before? Clever!
If you have temporary tattoos laying around, this transfer technique is an easy way to create beautiful eggs quickly.
We do not recommend eating the eggs that you use Sharpie pens on. But lets be honest, this is more about the process of creating than the outcome of eating, right?!
However, if you love this idea and do not want eggs to go to waste, we found EDIBLE FOOD PENS here.
We love this idea SO MUCH. Use it for Easter, or any random day when you have run out of ideas to keep the kids busy during quarantine.
This is our favorite way to decorate eggs. We use Modge Podge to adhere, but have been known to dilute regular glue with water to make our own.
For all of our warm weather friends, these next two ideas are for you!
We would love to see your creations! Tag us on Facebook or Instagram at @BlackHillsThingstoDo for a chance to be featured!
